Built in the early 16th century, the house hosts today the Pension **** Georgius Krauss.
 
Here, the famous notary Georgius Krauss lived and wrote the history of Sighisoara and Transylvania.
 
We invite you to spend precious moments in the house initially owned by the great Transylvanian chronicler.

We believe that real values are kept intact in time only by the care of the people, so we restored the edifice to the smallest detail and  now we protect the original frescoes (dated back to the 1600s), the vaults, the frames and all the other reveald paintings.

Georgius Krauss House is part of the historic center of Sighisoara Fortress. Within a few steps of our location, there are numerous historical monuments, such as the Church from the Hill and the Clock Tower, as well as shops and access points.

Great food experience!
We went there for dinner - two adults and a small child. I had the duck breast and it was tender and absolutely delicious. My husband had the smoked pork ribs, although a bit fat, they were really tasty. The pasta the kid had were tasty. The service was very good.

Lovely place to stay!
Beautiful facility in great shape. Old world charm with the human touch. Lime stone tile floors, stone and mortar walls, plain red plaster finishes. Comfortable beds with soft pillows, and a full sized tub for a soak.
Staff was very helpful.
Food was excellent at the restaurant.

Great food, super friendly personnel. Definitely worth trying it. Great taste and very good looking dishes. Not only chef speciality, bun anything in the menu is great.

Good view and good food!
We sat outside by the terrace, had a meal and a few drinks. The food was very good, we liked it, complements to the chef! The prices are quite high compared to the rest of restaurants we choosed in our short visit. Another good thing we liked was the silence and the view to a small park. We recommend to go there if you want to enjoy your meal without a lot of tourists walking around.

Amazing food!
We ordered the salmon, and a meat stew pie, they tasted amazing. Very high quality food, very attentive to details and the taste was magnificent. We also had dessert, don't remember the name, but it was also great. The service was very good as well.

Nice place, fine food, warm people!
We stayed here for one night, in a motorcicle trip. We could let the motocicle in the front of the hotel. It was a quiet place, very clean. The restaurant has very fine food, the staff is very friendly. Anytime we will come again.

Great fine dining!
The food was excellent. We tried one of the signature dishes and it was excellent. Such fine attention to details, from the cooking of the meat, the sauces used and the presentation on the plate to the waiters, always watching without hovering and altogether pleasent and friendly. An experience to be had! I highly recommend the signature dishes and do try their deserts! They are divine!
